PS3: Rock. Scissor. Paper. Shoot!

"Rock. Scissor. Paper. Shoot!," was a conceptual advertisement for Sony's 'Playstation 3.' The idea was to take a simple game like tic-tac-toe, or in this case rock-paper-scissors, and show how real it can look. This concept translates how realistic, innovative, and detailed games have become and how Sony's new Playstation 3 is a breakthrough video game console.

Skillful manipulation of photography is used to transform a hand into the elements of rock, paper, and scissor. The tranformation required taking multiple photos of a model's hand in three different positions. It was important for each hand position to make a gradual metamorphosis into the specific elements of the game. For example, the fist transforms into the rock element. The two-finger extended position transforms into the scissor element. And the open hand position transforms into the paper element of the game. By separating the elements into individual advertisements, it assists in the build up of the overall experience of the game. The concept unfolded over a three page advertisement.
